Gaining a sense of community in an asynchronous environment!

     Asynchronous can be a fantastic opportunity (as we learned last week) for students to have control of their own schedule and have the free range to compete schoolwork in their own time. A terrific way that students can do this is through the learning of pre-recorded videos. With pre-recorded videos students get to see teachers like they would in real time but with the benefit of doing it at their own set aside time. A huge advantage of this would be that students would have access to these videos when they feel as if they did not pick up on what the teacher was saying if they happened to get sidetracked or just to look back on knowledge they did not quite remember .         An additional method would be the use of a discussion board. A discussion board gives the students the sense of seeing peers without truly seeing them.                                                            Blog post #1:   Learning   Through these modern-day technological changes, it is changing the way students are learning today. This blog post will be to help you guys gain understanding of the three learning theories. The first of those theories would be called Behaviorism. Behaviorism is the learning theory the observation in behavior their observation. Welcome to my Blog!

       Hello everyone, My name is Ava Mathias. I'm starting this blog to discuss what's going on in my educational technology class and how I feel after each discussion. Before I do that, you should probably get to know me! Im currently a freshman beginning my second semester at Columbus State community college. I just recently turned 19 this past January and spent it to my family, which are my favorite people. My hobbies/interests consist of going on runs, hanging out with friends, and painting. Overall, I'm super excited to be taking this class and hope you guys enjoy hearing my thoughts throughout this course!     Im most excited to show my potential as a future teacher.
