skills vs. performance deficits

While students, primarily interact with obstacles involving a lack of motivation and the inability to understand the topic they are learning. This can make things very hard for students and send them back on work and knowledge. To understand the difference the best to can do is understand your students struggles rather it be a skill or motivational problem, and you can't understand that without talking to them. Talking to students directly can give you a sense of what the student is going through and where to go on from that. Discussions like behavioral issues, going over what's not working for them, and ways to build a trusting relationship should be gone over which can lead you to refraining from things that aren't working and building ways to actively gain students interest but also making it a easier way for students to understand.

Students that are going through skill deficits can be overwhelming and lead them to gradually stop trying if no solutions are occurring, that's why it is our job to provide ways to improve this. Ways to help students lacking skills on a topic or subject should be given is to really engage with your students so you can know them and their way of learning. everyones learning style is different and when things are online it can only become trickier. Giving follow up directions and detailed instructions can really help students. Another way is to provide one-on-one or small group discussions very often to see where everyones head is at and what we could be working on, allowing teachers to see what extra detailing could be added.

Students often find themselves lacking in motivation . A great way to overcome this as a student could be giving yourself a well rested night and a healthy meal to encourage your brain to work. As a teacher, many ways to improve motivation is to get down to the root of the problem and help them define why this is happening. Establishing a good healthy study habit can improve work tremendously so students don't feel overworked and overflowed with work, but rather moderate amount of studying that strengths your brain with knowledge. There are so many ways to create a fun and motivated work environment for students that each and every teacher should apply to their work.
